Snickers and Banana Flapjacks (Vegetarian)

I made these yesterday because I had a swim meet that evening and there wasn't really much suitable food in the house. We had some left over snickers that weren't eaten from a celebrations tin and some over ripe bananas that needed to be used up so I kinda made the recipe up as I went along and they turned out great! Shared them with the rest of the team and they couldn't get enough with even the crumbs being scraped out of the box...maybe I should've made two batches! I'm going to make some toblerone ones for my friends on Thursday so will post an alteration of the recipe later. I added what chocolates I had left but a few more wouldn't hurt the recipe. Or if you want to make the recipe vegan, simply substitute the butter for a dairy alternative and add in some peanut butter too :)
Ingredients:
300 plain oats
100g snickers (roughly 10 small)
100g butter
100g sugar
2 bananas, mashed (riper the better)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180℃ and grease a shallow baking tray.
2Melt the butter, sugar and chocolates on a gentle heat, stiring every 20 seconds or so.
3. Add in the banana and stir then fold in the oats, ensuring all of them are covered with the mixture.
4. Spread the oats out evenly onto the baking tray and cook in the oven for 25 minutes.
5. Transfer onto a wire cooling rack and leave to cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing them.
6. Either serve them up now or store in an air tight container for later and enjoy! Cassidy xx
P.S. I can't comment on how long these will last seeing as mine are gone already but I would assume 2-3 days, if yours even last that long!
