Believe in yourself!

As hard as it may be sometimes to persevere when nothing seems to be going your way it is important never to give up on yourself. As soon as you give up and admit defeat others will give up on you too, after all 'why help someone who cannot be helped?'. Life gets really tough at times and it may seem like everyone is going deliberately out of their way to upset you. Chances are that they're not, but you're looking at the world in such a negative way that it seems you are constantly being pushed down.

Each day try and look at at least one thing optimistically and tell yourself that you can get there, at the moment I am going to university open days, writing my personal statement and essentially having to decide what I want to do with my life at 17. Yes I know I can change my mind and it is never too late to start something new but right now this feels like such a huge decision to be making at such a young age. I would like to study nutrition at university which you may have gathered from all the healthy vegetarian recipes but whatever you want to do you have to be sure that you want to do it. I went through many courses that I wanted to do at one point or another (sports science, psychology etc) but looking into things at this point in my life I have a passion for food, I enjoy trying out new recipes and I want to study it  further. So when trying to choose what to do, the most important thing is to make sure you love it.

Getting back to the main point, whatever your goal is, no matter how big or how small, do not give up because you will regret it later. So work hard every day and make some great memories along the way!

P.S. I've added a few features to my blog that allow you to follow me, subscribe by email, translate into other languages and also leave feedback to tell me what you think of the recipes and whether you've tried them out or not, which can be found on the right hand side of the page. Also feel free to leave comments on your thoughts or if you have any questions, I'd love to hear what you have to say! xx
