Gifts

Something I absolutely love is gifts that have a purpose, something that can be used, enjoyed or even eaten - and nothing says I care more than a homemade gift.

Chai Latte Mix

I've gifted this Chai blend to a few friends and family over the past couple of years and everyone absolutely loves it. It's super easy to make, long life, tastes incredible and really shows how much thought and attention you put into gift-giving.

White Chocolate & Cranberry Cookies

Chewy in the middle, crunchy round the edge cookies, with chunks of vegan white chocolate and tart cranberries. If this doesn't say I love you, what does?

Whether you whip this up on Christmas eve for your family or pull together a little gift basket with the ingredients and extras like candy canes and vegan whipped cream, this recipe is sure to go down a treat!

A festive chutney, full of caramelised onions, dates, spices and jammy figs. Fantastic served up in a panini, on a cheese board or jarred and gifted!

Festive snack trio

Whether it's part of a buffet or served as an appetiser, this festive snack trio is a sure crowd-pleaser.

The Main Event

Whether it's a nut roast, tart or pie...there's plenty of plant-powered Christmas mains to choose from!

Mushroom Tempeh Nut Roast

A firm favourite of mine, this recipe featured in Vegan Food & Living's Christmas magazine and cookbook this year. Great to prep in advance ready to re-heat, this nut roast can even be frozen ready for the big day.

Portobello Mushroom Tarts

Something a little simpler to make but still providing that wow-factor, these mushroom tarts have featured a number of times on our family Christmas table.

Sides

It wouldn't be Christmas without some crisp roasties, infused with garlic and rosemary!

Cauliflower & Broccoli Cheese

My absolute favourite...ultimate vegan cheese sauce with cauliflower and broccoli, creamy, delicious, melty and moreish!

Festive Greens & Tempeh Bacon

Fresh greens with a zesty marinade and smoky, salty & sweet tempeh bacon pieces. Another Feature in December's Vegan Food & Living and Christmas cookbook.

Cinnamon Whiskey Roasted Veg

A little JD Fire, maple syrup and thyme takes these roasted veg to the next level.

Extras

Gravy - I know some people love homemade gravy, but in my house it's all about the Bisto - made up super thick and poured over everything.

Cranberry sauce - Again, we also have store-bought cranberry sauce - but I have seen some lovely recipes of fresh cranberries, simmered down with orange zest, spices and sugar, which sounds delicious and super festive.

Horseradish - There are a few vegan options now available on shops like Ocado and health food shops and for my mum, it wouldn't be Christmas without the spicy kick of horseradish!

Desserts

Our dessert is usually eaten a little later after the meal, once we have more room to enjoy it. Whilst Christmas pudding is a classic, it's not to everyone's liking - so here are a few other desserts you could enjoy with lashings of vegan cream, custard or ice cream!

Pear & Ginger Spice Cake

A mix between gingerbread and a spiced fruit cake this is a sure winner with some hot custard!

Spiced Plum Crumble

Whether you like your crumble with cream, custard or icecream you won't be able to resist these jammy spiced plums and crisp crumble topping.

Vegan No-Bake Chocolate Tart

One the chocolate lovers, easy to prep in advance and delicious as is, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
